I talked with a lot of client & friend, they always told me that titanium is too expensive. although titanium is very light and corrosion resistance, but face to price, they have to give up titanium to choose other alternative materials, like Stainless Steel.
Like one latest thing, one of my client from Norway, we talked a project for a very long time, it ask titanium foils, but finally, the client choose stainless steel foils, he told me that this changed save appex 1 million dollars to him.
Of course, there are also a lot of people choose titanium. although titanium with high price. but it with excellent corrosion resistant, based on the same product, for stainless steel plate, you maybe use 10mm thickness can meet your require, but for titanium maybe only 5-6mm thickness can meet your require. and for stainless steel equipment, you maybe have to change new equipment per 3 month, but titanium's service life can last 3+ years. at the same time, titanium can reduce very lot of weight compare than stainless steel.
