2. Titanium Properties:

    2.1  Physical Properties
Titanium is lightweight, strong, corrosion resistant and abundant in nature. Titanium and its alloys posses tensile strengths from 30,000 psi to 200,000 psi (210-1380 MPa), which are equivalent to those strengths found in most of alloy steels. The density of titanium is only 56 percent that of steel, and its corrosion resistance compares well with that of platinum. Of all the elements in the earth's crust, titanium is the ninth most plentiful.

Titanium has a high melting point of 1725℃. This melting point is approximately 220℃ above the melting point of steel and approximately 1100℃ above that of aluminum.

          Commercial Pure Titanium:
           Tensile Strength: 300~600 Mpa
           Yield Strength: 250~500 Mpa
           Elongation: 20%~30%
           Reduction of Area: 45%

3. Is titanium magnetic?
Titanium is virtually non-magnetic, making it ideal for applications where electro-magnetic interference must be minimized, such as electronic equipment housing and downhole well logging tools. It also contributes to titanium's role in human body implants, where a magnetic metal could be subject to outside interference.
